About
Handz-made was founded from a deep enthusiasm for crafts, handwritten letters, trinkets of all kinds, and everything colorful.
I’m Zoe Miller (she/her), the artist behind Handz-made. I’ve been drawing and crafting since my early childhood days, heavily influenced by the creative energy of my Grandpa Howard (Poppy). Poppy’s detailed technique, vibrant color choices, and whimsical characters transformed any object he touched—beautiful menorahs made from car parts, sculptures featuring pinecones and pvc pipe, or delicately painted dining chairs.
Poppy’s artistry taught me that:
1) Beauty and joy is all around us—art can help highlight it.
2) Everything is a surface.
I’ve cultivated and expanded upon Poppy’s lessons through years of art classes, apartment decorating, handmade birthday cards, event marketing, shoe painting, stamp carving, and letter creation through Fontfully (all donation-based, check it out!). In 2021 I launched Handz-made to share my creations with new audiences and build relationships through commissioned design services.

Beyond creative projects, I devote time toward nursing, dancing, bartending, sunshine basking, and tiny-house-living. I live and make things in South Royalton, Vermont, on the ancestral lands of the Abenaki nation.
Community Agreements
My creative process, relationships, and intentions are guided by the overarching question: How can we go there together? As a white able-bodied person, I aim to uplift movements that deconstruct systems of oppression and contribute to a world of mutual flourishing. These Community Agreements describe how the work and partnerships of Handz-made align with this central question.
Affirmation and celebration of all love in its infinite and beautiful forms.
Commitment to continuous anti-racist learning and the practice of cultural humility, at the core of which is the acknowledgment that Black Lives Matter.
Usage of environmentally friendly materials, including the upcycling of previously loved items, wherever possible.
Accessibility to creative services regardless of financial capacity (contact me to discuss bartering arrangements or discounted services!)
